1. Information We Collect

Dropnote relies on location-based services to function. We collect your device's precise location data only when you actively use the app to create or discover Dropnotes. We also collect basic account information, such as email address, provided during registration.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your location data is strictly used to place your notes on the map and determine when you are within the radius of your saved Dropnotes. We do not sell your personal or location data to advertisers.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate Dropnote securely:

  • Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication and cloud database storage for your notes.
  • RevenueCat & Apple: Used to securely process in-app purchases and manage Dropnote Pro subscriptions. We do not have access to your credit card information.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete individual notes or request complete account deletion directly within the app settings. Upon account deletion, all your saved notes and associated data will be permanently removed from our servers.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Dropnote, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service. Dropnote allows you to leave location-based notes, called “Dropnotes”. You are solely responsible for the content you create.

2. Dropnote Pro Subscriptions

Dropnote offers an optional premium subscription, “Dropnote Pro”, granting unlimited active notes and expanded geofence radii.

  • Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase.

3. Location Services

Dropnote's core functionality requires access to your device's GPS and location services. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the exact precision of map geofences due to hardware and environmental limitations.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use Dropnote to store illegal, abusive, or harmful content. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or that your notes will be stored indefinitely without risk of data loss.
